** Only Badminton shoes are permitted inside the venue.

Best of 3 games, Rally points system to 21 per set (Cap at 30).

Athletes are guaranteed at least 2 matches per event. Walkovers count as a match.

Upon 3rd and final call, athletes who do not present themselves on court may be disqualified.

2 Minutes warm-up starting on the 1st call.

1 minute break at 11 points intervals, 2 minutes break between sets

Coaching is only permitted at 11 pts intervals and between sets. Please refrain from coaching during and between rallies.

Players are to officiate their own games but if dispute persists, please seek support from the Control Desk.

If applicable, Control Desk’s decision will be the final.

Out of respect for players, we kindly ask spectators not to be involved in score keeping, line calls, or being involved at all.

One Chaopai Red shuttle will be provided per game, players are to supply additional tournament grade shuttles if required.

Control Desk will sell tournament grade shuttles at $35/dozen + applicable taxes.

Entry Gift and Gatorade is only offered to participants who have registered during Early Bird. As we need to order the custom gifts in advance, we may not be able to offer it to players who register after the Early Bird period.

Players below the age of 19 years old on the day of the tournament must also register Full name and contact information of their guardian(s).

All players must be at least the age of 14 years old on the day of the tournament. Organizers reserve the right to request government-issued ID to confirm ID and eligibility of any players on the day of the tournament.

Any players/spectators who have travelled outside of Canada less than 14 days leading to the date of the tournament must submit a negative covid-19 test prior to entering the venue. Please ensure to send a picture with your name and date clearly visible on the submitted picture. (Rapid test is accepted)

* Please keep in mind that while we try to complete and respond to all emails and registration as fast as we can, we may not be able to process and/or reply any emails between December 24th until December 27th as well as December 31st, 2022 to January 2nd, 2023 due to holidays! (Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!)
* All registrations coming in before December 10th, 2022 will be deleted. Please only forward your registration on and after December 10th, 2022.

Thank you for taking the time to read until this point. It is important for us to clarify that 4U OPEN 2023 is strictly hosted on behalf of 4U Badminton Centre. Although it is hosted and organized by the same team behind all Unltd Badminton Tournament, we are representing 4U for this tournament.
Furthermore, Unltd Badminton is partially sponsoring this tournament by providing all nececssary equipment, systems, medals, and door prizes for all Early Bird registered players. Just remember that this is a 4U tournament and not an Unltd Tournament. Therefore, the format and how the tournament is run may be different from Unltd Tournaments.

By registering for the tournament, players agree and give permission to be taken pictures and videos during the tournament and to be used in the public to promote 4U Badminton Centre and tournament sponsors. While Ontario COVID guidelines have largely changed to be able to live with and manage COVID-19 for long-term, everybody plays an important role in protecting ourselves and others, especially Canada's harsh winter.
We highly encourage and recommend all players and spectators to observe the following practice:

Regularly wash and disinfect your hands.

A face mask is highly recommended, especially during the tournament where being in close proximity of many others is unavoidable.

In the event where you experience obvious flu and/or cold symptons, we recommend to stay home as to limit exposing others to illness.

The organizers reserve the right to turn any individual showing obvious signs of illness.
Any players who have had travelled out of Canada 14 days prior to the date of the tournament or have been in contact or have had covid symptoms must submit a picture of a negative covid test with date and full name within 5 days of the tournament.
Any individual or player displaying displaying reasonable signs of covid, cold, or flu will be disqualified.

At this time, we are capping entries for Men's Doubles at 60x, Women's Doubles at 24x, and Mixed Doubles at 58x. Please keep in mind that we may adjust the number of entries depending on time and level of interest.

We have increase Men's Doubles Draw to maximum capacity of 60x entries.

-- Any withdrawal is subject to $25 admin fee per player. We would advice to find substitute instead of withdrawal.
-- A full refund without any deduction will be issues for all entries on the Wait List.
